FIA certification
If you plan to use your car for amateur racing, it is important to check your certification rules to see if you need to use FIA-certified seats. Even if you don't need them, FIA-certified seats are rigorously tested to ensure that they are safe and provide the type of safety you may need when you finally hit a wall. Also, please note that reclining seats are not FIA-certified.
Use delivery
You can buy a cheap seat that looks like it was designed for racing cars, but if you don't have a seat belt to wear, look elsewhere. These two holes are located above your shoulders so that your shoulder straps can be buckled to the rear seat or rollover frame. Without the harness function, you will not get the full benefits of the racing seat.
Other considerations
Fit
It is important to know whether you are suitable for the seat you are going to buy. If you can't go to the display model to test in person, most manufacturers can find measurement charts on the Internet. These charts are used to compare your body with the width of the support and the height of the pass. If your seat is too small or too large, it won't hold you as it should.
Size
Unlike your body fit, it is important to check the size of the seat and its fit in your car. There needs to be enough space in the seating area and shoulder area for the seat to fit. Check whether there is space between the console and the seat and between the door and the shoulder. The manufacturer also provides charts of these measurements, so you can get an idea of how to fit a seat.
Accessory seats
The rails and seat brackets used to mount the racing seat to the vehicle are rarely supplied with your purchase. You will need vehicle-specific seat support and if you want the seat to slide, you must purchase an additional slider kit. Although not as expensive as the seats themselves, they are not cheap, so you should also budget for these seats.
